Group Sail

Our groups sail is open to any skill level. It is a great way to meet new people, enjoy nature, and experience sailing on Lake Michigan. Your experience consists of a brief introduction to sailing, safety procedures, and a weather outlook. You then will proceed to prepare your sailboat for departure and off you go!

• Sailing is dependant on weather. Lessons will be rescheduled due to threatening conditions.
• Group Sail is only offered Tuesdays and runs May 21st through October 30th 2024.

Where do we meet?

• Our Boats are located on Dock H. Montrose Harbor has docks where the boats are moored. Each dock is identified by a letter in the alphabet A-O.

Is there parking?

• There is free parking along Montrose Avenue, and pay-to-park along Montrose Harbor Drive.

What should I bring?

• We encourage you to bring a waterproof bag that you can keep extra layers as the weather will change during the lesson. Pack outdoor essentials such as Waterbottle, Sunscreen, Hat, Sunglasses, and Closed Toed Shoes. Flipflops are a safety hazard and going barefoot is cause for injury.

What if it rains?

• Please be sure to check the weather and pack appropriate clothing. We do not cancel due to rain. If weather proves to be threatening, such as lightning or gale force winds, class will be rescheduled.
