Thanksgiving on Lake Michigan

On the shores of Lake Michigan, as autumn leaves fall,

We gather in gratitude, answering the wind’s call.

The city’s skyline glows in the amber light,

As sailboats dance softly, like birds in flight.

The crisp breeze whispers through the rigging tall,

A silent reminder of nature’s gentle thrall.

On this Thanksgiving, we sail and we glide,

With the lake at our bow and the world by our side.

We give thanks for the waters, so vast and so wide,

For the lessons they teach with each ebb and each tide.

For the friendship we share, the laughter, the cheer,

As the horizon unfolds, drawing us near.

The sun sets in colors of gold and of red,

As we hold close the memories of days we’ve led.

In the heart of Chicago, where dreams are set free,

We’re grateful for sailing, for the lake, and for thee.

So, with each gust of wind, we lift hearts in prayer,

For the beauty we sail on, the moments we share.

On this day of thanks, as the sails catch the sky,

We celebrate the journey, and the reasons we try.
